
Demi Moore is giving a rare insight into her bond with Bruce Willis.
Moore, 62, addressed her unconventional family life amid Willis’ ongoing health battle in an interview with Variety published on Thursday.
The first-time Oscar nominee touched on her relationship with Willis, 69, as they approach 25 years of being divorced.The famous exes share daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33 and Tallulah, 31, and one granddaughter, Louetta.
“For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love,” “The Substance” actress shared.
She wasn’t just talking about her ex.

Moore visits Willis every week, according to Variety. She also serves as a pillar of support for his wife of nearly 16 years, Emma Heming Willis, 46, and the couple’s two daughters: Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.
Moore shared that she hopes their situation can inspire others.
“I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things,” Moore said of her relationship with Willis. “There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love.”The actress recently spoke about her ex-husband, echoing her desire to stay a tight-knit family despite their divorce.
“That has been very important to me even from when Bruce and I separated and divorced, is the recognition that we’re a family, and we’ll always be a family, just in a different form,” Moore told CNN in December.
She also gave a rare update on his dementia battle.
“Given the givens, he’s in a very stable place at the moment,” she stated last year. “And I’ve shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely. It’s so important for anybody who’s dealing with this to really meet them where they’re at, and from that place, there is such loving and joy.”

Moore explained that it’s “very difficult” to watch someone you love struggle, adding it’s “not what I would wish upon anyone.”
However, the actress said the family is staying positive and embracing Willis’ state.
“There is great loss, but there is also great beauty and gifts that can come from it,” she told the outlet.
Moore and Willis tied the knot in 1987 and announced their separation over a decade later in 1998. They settled their divorce in 2000.
