
Tragedy struck aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship as the fiancée of Faster Pussycat’s lead singer Taime Downe is presumed dead after allegedly falling overboard during the band’s performance on the ship.

Kimberly Burch, 56, was accompanying her fiancé on The ’80s Cruise, a seven-day journey that began on Sunday, March 2 from Miami. According to her mother, Carnell Burch, Kimberly was reported missing after the first day of the cruise, with Downe informing her of the horrifying incident.
However, Kimberly’s body has not yet been found, and the circumstances surrounding how she fell from the ship remain unclear. On Wednesday, March 5, TMZ shared video new footage of the search surrounding the waters of the ship. In the video, an alert system addresses guests on board alerting them that an individual has gone overboard.In an interview with TMZ posted on Monday, March 3, Carnell shared that her daughter was allegedly drinking during the cruise, an uncharacteristic behavior for Kimberly, adding that she had no knowledge of any emotional struggles at the time. Downe, who had been in a relationship with Kimberly for over five years, has not commented publicly on the situation.
The search for Kimberly took place approximately 20 miles off the coast of Freeport, Bahamas. A Royal Caribbean spokesperson confirmed to the outlet that the crew initiated a search and rescue mission: “Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort, is working with local authorities, and we are providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time. To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we have no additional details to share.”

According to the outlet, however, the search was later called off by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
